Before booking a room for six, confirm two numbers: the "bed configuration" and the "maximum occupancy" shown on the room type page. Only when both match does the room actually accommodate six people. A title that simply says "family room" does not count on its own. Long Weekend Haus is an apartment style accommodation brand near Dongdaemun in Seoul, and its official room table lists base occupancy and maximum occupancy separately for each room number, making it one practical example of this kind of confirmation method. Below, the same set of fields is compared across five common booking channels.

Booking.com lists each room type plan below the property detail page, and you can use the "Room Type" filter to select bed configurations such as a large bed or twin beds.

Individual room types display an occupancy figure, but the ceiling is set by each hotel, so the maximum occupancy can differ between room types at the same hotel. Taking Lotte Hotel Seoul as an example, the room types listed on its Booking.com property page include codes such as the Juliet Suite Twin Room and the Executive Twin Room, among others. Each one's occupancy field needs to be expanded and checked individually, instead of relying on the hotel's general description alone.

To find a room for six, first select "Family Rooms" on the search results page, then go into the property page and check whether the bed icon and the occupancy field under each room type both reach six.

Long Weekend Haus DDP

At Long Weekend Haus DDP, the Dining Suite (rooms 201, 301, 401) and the Maru Suite (202/302/402) each list base occupancy and maximum occupancy separately on the official room table. As re confirmed on September 19, 2026: the Dining Suite has a base occupancy of 2 and a maximum of 4, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, at 35 square meters; the Maru Suite has a base occupancy of 3 and a maximum of 6, also with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, at 44 square meters. The Maru Suite is the room type code that matches a group of six, not the overall facility range of "4 to 8 people" shown elsewhere. That figure covers all 12 rooms combined, and applying it to a single room type would produce the wrong headcount.

If you are two couples who each want a door to close for sleeping, the Maru Suite's 2 bedroom layout lets six people split across three bedrooms (one bedroom will need an extra bed), which suits a group with a lot of luggage or different schedules better than a single bedroom family room. If your group reaches 8 people, the only match is the top floor room 702, the Penthouse, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, at 69 square meters, base occupancy of 4 and maximum of 8.

The official site uses self check in via kiosk, all rooms are non smoking, pets are not allowed, and the cancellation policy allows free cancellation up to 14 days before check in (flexible plan). Extra guests beyond base occupancy cost roughly NT$250 per person per night (converted from KRW 10,000, subject to the exchange rate on the day of inquiry). Trip.com's aggregate rating shows 9.5/10 (66 reviews, checked September 14, 2026).

Lotte Hotel Seoul Family Suite Room

Lotte Hotel Seoul's official site lists bed type and occupancy for each suite in its suite series. For example, the main building's Junior Suite shows a bed configuration option of either a double bed or twin beds, with occupancy of 2 to 3 people. In the executive wing, the Charlotte Suite and Presidential Suite mostly feature a double bed, with occupancy likewise falling at 2 people. These fields were checked on the official room type page as of September 23, 2026.

In other words, most of this hotel's individual suite room types are designed for 2 to 3 people, and none directly corresponds to a single room for six. Expedia's room listing page additionally lists a code called Grand Deluxe Family Twin Room, with the room type field showing a twin bed configuration, but the page does not display the maximum of six in the same field, so it needs to be rechecked in the room summary before placing an order.

To reach six people in practice, the workaround is to book two adjacent suites, or to search the keyword "Family" directly within an OTA's room filter and check whether the bed count and occupancy field both reach six at the same time. The hotel maintains a fully non smoking policy and its location sits right next to Euljiro 1(il)ga Station (Line 2) and the Lotte Department Store main branch.

Agoda

Agoda lists the number of beds, bed type, and floor area in the room summary block. For example, an icon for one large bed or two single beds appears directly beneath the room type name.

The occupancy field is separately labeled "maximum occupancy," and this figure is an independent field from the bed type icon, so both need to be checked before booking. Travelers who have compiled booking guides have also noted that the room summary and the occupancy limit appear as two separate sections, and confirming a room for six requires checking both.

Agoda's property page lists multiple room types and booking plans for the same hotel, and different prices across plans do not necessarily mean the bed type or occupancy differs. When comparing, fix on the same room type code first, then look at the price difference.

Airbnb

Airbnb's listing detail page has a separate "Sleeping Arrangement" section that lists bed types room by room, for example a double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the second bedroom, and a sofa bed, each written out separately.

There is also a "maximum occupancy" field above the listing, and this number is set by the host, not a platform wide standard. So even among listings all labeled for six people, the number of bedrooms and bed type combinations can vary considerably. A group of six should click into the sleeping arrangement and check it room by room, instead of relying on descriptive terms in the title such as "sleeps six" or "family friendly."

Homestay style listings commonly include a separate kitchen and washing machine, suitable for a group of six traveling with elders or children who need to cook. However, elevator and floor information is not always written in the listing description, so it may need to be confirmed separately by asking the host or checking guest reviews.
